Estate Shiraz
Wine
Moppity Vineyards Estate Shiraz is handpicked from a single vineyard, high in the Hilltops region north-west of Canberra on the Great Dividing Range.
At 650 metres altitude, the site sees a unique mix of warm days and cool nights. The vines work hard during the day and shut down at night, resulting in concentrated cool climate Shiraz with spicy complexity.
The Shiraz fruit is cold soaked prior to fermentation with a small percentage of Viognier. After 14 days, the wine is sent to new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months of maturation.
Deep dark purple, Moppity Vineyards Estate Shiraz is medium bodied with juicy forest fruits, cedary oak and supple, velvety tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
